Winnipeg stores with reduced hours during COVID 19

Hello,

Here are several stores that have reduced hours. See below:

LOWE CANADA:

LOWE’S CANADA TEMPORARILY REDUCES OPENING HOURS OF ALL LOWE’S, RONA AND RENO-DEPOT CORPORATE STORES ACROSS THE COUNTRY
As Lowe’s Canada continues to respond to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, it is announcing the temporary reduction of its opening hours in Canada. Starting Monday, March 23, all Lowe’s, RONA and Reno-Depot corporate stores across the country will close at 6 p.m.*. This will provide additional flexibility for our dedicated associates, and increase time for essential product replenishment as well as thorough cleaning and disinfection of our stores daily.

In line with our mission, which is to deliver the right home improvement products with the best service and value, across every channel and community we serve, Lowe’s Canada is committed to continuing serving Canadians in these challenging times. Our stores play an important role in providing essential products and services to our retail customers, local businesses, and communities to respond to urgent needs such as keeping their homes clean and safe, dealing with unplanned emergency repairs, or preparing for prolonged periods of time spent at home. These include, among others, supplies and equipment to maintain sanitary conditions in the home, plumbing and electric products, fire safety and prevention products, refrigerators and freezers to allow for long-term, safe storage of food and medicine, and products to help cope with severe weather events.

The health and safety of our associates and valued customers remain our top priority. In addition to enhanced cleaning efforts across our corporate stores and clear social distancing guidelines addressed to both our associates, customers, and business partners, increased measures have been taken to ensure cashiers and front-end teams are regularly cleaning their work areas and registers after each customer interaction.

As all Canadians navigate the new COVID-19 reality, we wish to remind our Lowe’s, RONA and Reno-Depot customers that they can always shop for the products they need from the comfort of their home on lowes.ca, rona.ca, and renodepot.com. Given the present context, we have also instituted free parcel shipping for all products identified as eligible for parcel delivery (Purolator or Canada Post) on Lowe’s, RONA and Reno-Depot websites (subject to usual conditions).

*Except in the province of Quebec where provincial law states that no store can be opened after 5 p.m. on weekends.

SAVE ON FOODS:

save-on-foods
Dear customers and neighbors,
I wanted to reach out to our customers in the more than 100 communities where we have stores. We are without a doubt in uncertain times and navigating through an unprecedented event. The health and safety of our team members and customers has always been our top priority and I wanted to share some of the changes we’ve made in-store.
  • All stores have changed their hours to 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily. These reduced hours will give our teams additional time to clean and sanitize, restock the shelves and better serve our customers. This also gives our front-line grocery store workers a much-needed chance to recharge during these unprecedented times.
  • We have reserved the hour from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m. for seniors and others who are at risk to do their shopping.
  • We would ask customers to leave our on-line ordering service to those who aren’t able to get to the store, including seniors, people with disabilities, and those who are ill.
  • To minimize risk, we have temporarily suspended the use of reusable bags in our stores and will not be charging customers for plastic bags.
  • We have also temporarily stopped bottle returns from being accepted in stores.
  • We are encouraging social distancing in all stores through removal of seating in common areas and providing social distancing recommendations in signage at our front doors and check outs.
  • The company is amplifying its already high standards on food safety, sanitation and cleanliness.
These are just some of the things we’re doing in our stores to minimize the spread of COVID-19. A full list of companywide efforts will be updated regularly and can be found here.
I am also urging customers to shop normally and not pantry load – there is enough food for everyone.
I want to assure our valued customers that at Save-On-Foods, we’re stepping up all protocols to do everything we can to protect the health and safety of our team members and customers. You can trust us to do the right thing.

DUFRENSE:

To our valued guests,

As the current situation in our world continues to unfold, your well-being and that of our team members is our top priority.  We are committed to keeping you informed of how we’re making changes in response to this unprecedented time.  Effective Friday, March 20 we will be taking the following additional measures:

Store Hours and Guest Experience

We continue to adapt and respond to help our communities emerge stronger while continuing to meet the needs of our guests. As such, hours of operation at our stores will be reduced. Please visit Dufresne.ca for specific location details.

On top of increased cleaning and sanitizing measures, we will also begin limiting the number of guests allowed in our store at any given time to ensure social distancing practices can be followed without exception.  We want to ensure your visit is as quick and as safe as possible.

At this time, let’s all look out for each other.  If you have recently travelled, are not feeling well or experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please refrain from visiting our locations.  For our teams, we are ensuring that we follow the guidelines communicated by Health Canada to minimize any risks to them or our guests.

In-home service and delivery
If you have an upcoming in-home furniture delivery, our guest care team will be in touch with you soon about delivery options. We have put additional measures in place to keep you and our teams safe. If you prefer to receive your delivery at a later date, we are happy to reschedule to a more suitable time.

Shopping Online

We will remain open online. Visit us at Dufresne.ca and shop from the convenience of your home. Our Guest Care team is available via phone and live chat and are prepared to answer any questions and ensure you continue to have the Dufresne experience you know and trust.

Stay Connected
As new information becomes available, we are constantly reviewing how we move forward to best support the needs of our guests, while protecting the health and safety of our team members in these uncertain times. We are as committed as ever to providing an exceptional guest experience while adapting to new challenges and we will continue to keep you informed as the situation evolves.

To our guests, thank you for your support and understanding during a rapidly evolving situation.

SURPLUS FURNITURE AND MATTRESS:

To Our Valued Customers,

As the situation around COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues to evolve, we wanted to provide an update on how Surplus Furniture & Mattress Warehouse is responding to support our customers. We want to assure everyone that the health and wellbeing of our customers is our highest priority. As we continue to monitor and assess the impact of COVID-19, we are being diligent and proactive in our precautionary measures at all our stores across Canada, to help limit the spread of the virus. We are closely monitoring the guidelines provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada and we are continuing to assess the situation daily. Our emphasis is to be diligent with practices to ensure the health and safety of all our customers, while also ensuring we can continue to deliver the highest service to our customers.

As of today and in the Provinces where permitted, Surplus Furniture stores will remain open for business for limited hours (check our website for hours) and are prepared to serve our customers as long as it is safe to do so. We will continue to educate all our staff members on the latest developments, as they are made available, so we can do our part to ensure limiting the spread of the virus. We wan to protect the health and safety of our customers and want you to feel at ease during any visit to one of our stores and/or while receiving a delivery through one of our 3rd Party Delivery Services, knowing we are focused on preventative measures (such as):

At Store Level

Intensified Cleaning: Our stores are being cleaned and sanitized regularly as a normal course of business. However, we have increased the frequency and intensity of those cleanings to ensure our spaces are as safe as possible.
Regular Hand Washing: We continue to emphasize good hygiene at our stores with ongoing communications to our employees about the importance of frequent hand washing and the cleaning of work surfaces.
Social Distancing:  Since the transmission of the virus is most commonly SPREAD from an infected person through respiratory droplets and enhanced via hand to hand contact, we are proactively asked our employees to avoid shaking hands with customers, fellow employees, and other visitors to our stores. Our approach to customer service hasn’t changed! We value every customer that walks in our doors more than ever and that’s why we will be replacing handshakes with smiles and waves.
Employees in our Stores: If any employee of our stores are feeling ill (for any reason), they will be asked to stay home until they are feeling well again. As well, we will follow the self-isolation protocol implemented by the Public Health Agency of Canada when needed or should the situations arise.

During Customer Deliveries

Delivery Companies: We have implemented protocols to ensure the health and safety of all our customers while a customer delivery is taking place. This will include proper safety measures with the drivers before, during and after the delivery occurs both with the drivers and their equipment and truck. Also, any personal items used by the delivery company to aid in ensuring a clean and sanitary delivery will be discarded after every delivery.

As things are changing daily, we are monitoring and adapting our business accordingly. Rest assured, we will do everything possible to ensure the safety of our customers during these times. We will do our part.

We urge everyone to take the appropriate measures to stay safe. We are including a link to the government resource/fact sheets (click here) that will hopefully assist anyone who may have questions regarding COVID-19 and how to reduce the spread of the virus.

Thank you for your loyalty. Stay safe.

STAPLES CANADA:

COVID-19: Updated Store Hours Staples Canada
To the Staples community:

With the complex concerns around COVID-19 evolving quickly in Canada and around the world, it has become clear that we must all do our part to help. We continue to navigate this challenging time and wanted to give you an update on the actions we are taking to support our customers and associates across Canada.

The health and wellbeing of our community is what matters most. With things changing by the minute, we are making some important changes at our stores. Starting Thursday, March 19, we will reduce store hours at Staples locations across Canada. This decision is a precautionary measure to help protect the wellbeing of the Staples community. We have shared full details on these changes and new store hours at staples.ca.

In light of social distancing recommendations, we will also limit customer numbers in our stores for the comfort and safety of our associates. We've taken additional precautions to keep our communities safe, including extensive cleaning and sanitizing in each of our locations while they remain open for business. For customers who prefer to shop online, staples.ca is offering free shipping with no minimums.

Thousands of small businesses, health care clinics, government agencies, offices and communities across Canada rely on us to provide essential products and services to continue basic operations during this uncertain time. It is important to many communities that we continue to serve them in-store and online. In recent days, we have received numerous notes from customers letting us know they appreciate the safety precautions we’ve taken and our continued efforts to serve their needs.

We are here to support you – Canada’s small businesses, essential services, educators, parents and our entire community as we work through this together.

We are proactively managing our supply of products to ensure we continue to have what you need. As one would expect, we are experiencing some in-stock limitations for certain in-demand products, such as wipes, disinfectant and hand sanitizer, and are working hard to continuously replenish those items.

To get through this pandemic, we need to come together, be kind and caring, and continue doing our part to keep each other safe and healthy. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we all work through this unprecedented situation together.

TRIANGLE MEMBERSHIP FOR CANADIAN TIRE, SPORT CHECK, MARK'S WAREHOUSE:
My Canadian Tire 'Money' ™
Dear valued customer,

I know that for many Canadians, the last few days have heightened feelings of concern and uncertainty around COVID-19. Right now, we are focused on how we can continue to serve our communities in this time of need, while also being part of the solution. So today, we are announcing some changes that will go into effect tomorrow.

We have made the decision to close all of our non-essential retail banners across Canada until April 2, 2020. This includes our Mark’s/L’Équipeur, SportChek, Sports Experts, Atmosphere, Party City, Pro Hockey Life, National Sports, and PartSource stores. Customers can continue to shop across our family of companies online. We know that for many employees, store closures can lead to financial stress – please note that during the closure period our full and part-time employees will be paid.

At this time, our Canadian Tire Retail stores will remain open, but with reduced hours. Our Canadian Tire Retail stores are doing everything they can to deliver on the essential products Canadians need. We are committed to doing our best to continue helping you navigate through this challenge, and this includes providing the essential products, while protecting the health and well-being of our employees and customers. Please check with your local Canadian Tire store for updated hours of operation. You can of course shop Canadian Tire online at canadiantire.ca by using our click-and-collect or deliver-to-home options. As online orders increase, it may take us longer than usual to ship your items, and we ask that you try and remain patient with us.

If you plan to visit one of our Canadian Tire Retail stores, know that we are continuing to take precautions such as enhanced cleaning of our stores and encouraging strong hygiene practices among our team members. Unless supply is simply unavailable, we are offering hand sanitizer and wipes at work stations, checkouts and in common areas. To help protect and support our elderly and more vulnerable customers, many of our Canadian Tire Associate Dealers are offering reserved shopping hours. To further protect our store employees and yourselves, we ask that when you are in one of our stores, you practice safe social distancing. And of course, if you are feeling unwell, please take care of yourself and follow Public Health guidelines.

We are doing the best that we can to support you and your local community, while at the same time, doing our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19. With all of us working together, and supporting one another, we will get through this.

Sincerely,
Greg Hicks

Walmart Canada:

Walmart.ca

To our valued customers,

As the COVID-19 situation continues to change, we’re taking action to better serve you and our associates.

Dedicated shopping hour
Beginning on Monday, March 23, we’re temporarily dedicating the opening hour of stores across the country exclusively for our seniors (ages 65+), the disabled, and those with vulnerable health conditions. Opening hours will be from 7 am to 8 am on weekdays only. Please note, this change excludes Quebec.

Reduced hours of operation
Also beginning on Monday, March 23, our regular store operating hours for all Canadians will be reduced to 8 am to 8 pm every day. Please note, stores in Quebec will close at 5pm on weekends. Our associates are working harder than ever to stock items and sanitize stores — and this earlier closing time allows them to do so.

Our online Grocery Pickup and Delivery services are not affected by this change and operation hours will remain the same.

For more information on how we’re prioritizing the health of our customers, our associates, and our communities, please read the latest update from Walmart Canada President & CEO, Horacio Barbeito.

Walmart will continue taking all the measures necessary to ensure the well-being of our customers, our vulnerable neighbours, and our associates.
