Please join us by sharing your story about how you overcame barriers to participation—at home, in school, at your job and in the community.
By sharing your story, you are helping to inspire others who may be struggling with barriers of their own.
In honour of National Speech and Hearing Awareness Month, please help us raise awareness and dollars to break down barriers for all Deaf and Hard of Hearing Canadians, and build a stronger, more inclusive country for all.
Plus, you can win great prizes!
Here’s how it works…
1. Get Votes. Go to www.chs.ca/BreakingBarriers to upload your story in photo, print or video format. We’ll send you a web link to your story to share with your friends and family by email, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Ask everyone to vote for your story daily and you could win a weekly or grand prize. (Truth is, everyone wins when you help to spread the word!)
2. Get Donations. Please ask your friends and family to consider making a donation to the cause. (Donors can win a prize too!) Proceeds support the Canadian Hearing Society National Scholarship Program.
