Citizens invited to
a series of pop-up engagement events about beekeeping in the city
The City
of Winnipeg is looking at expanding opportunities for urban beekeeping in the
city and is inviting citizens to provide feedback in a series of pop-up
engagement events on the topic.Beekeeping is currently permitted in downtown Winnipeg and is also allowed in agricultural and institutionally zoned areas through conditional use and a public hearing, but is prohibited in residential, commercial and industrial areas. The
Winnipeg Parking Authority (WPA) is currently reviewing its delivery of the
residential parking permit and loading zone programs. Winnipeggers are
invited to provide their feedback on these programs through online surveys or
at upcoming pop-up public engagement events.
