Rick Hansen Ambassador Program and CAD-ASC & MDA host
Are you interested in sharing your personal story of
overcoming challenges and achieving your goals at events in Winnipeg and across
Manitoba?
We are seeking individuals who are Deaf to participate
in an upcoming training session and join the Rick Hansen Ambassador Program as
a volunteer Ambassador. After
participating in a special training session, you will have opportunities to
present at schools and organizations in your community to raise awareness of accessibility and inclusion, with events coordinated
and supported by the team at the Rick Hansen Foundation. In addition,
you’ll become part of an existing team of over 100 individuals
with diverse backgrounds from the disability, Deaf and hard of hearing
communities in Manitoba and all across Canada. Read

The free training session will take place over 2 days
(Saturday & Sunday) in June 2016 in Winnipeg, MB. The training will
cover sharing messaging around accessibility and inclusion to school-age and
adult audiences as well as providing an opportunity to become more comfortable
with sharing your story and presenting to a variety of audiences.
Ambassadors receive an honorarium for attending the
training + delivering 2 presentations.
