Elaine Campbell received Order of Ontario!

Canadian Association of the Deaf announced about Elaine Campbell:

Elaine Campbell, who has often served as CAD-ASC's delegate to palliative care issues, has been named to the Order of Ontario for her pioneering work in palliative care for Deaf Ontarians.

Elaine is a wonderful leader and supporter in the Deaf community, both here in Ottawa and in her native Maritimes. She has worked incredibly hard for years and years and years to create palliative
care programs for Deaf people, and importantly, to make it possible for Deaf people themselves to access the training to become palliative care workers.

Her appointment balances the appointment of a cochlear implant surgeon who was also given the Order of Ontario today.
