Search for Executive Director for the Canadian Administrator of Video Relay Service
The Interim Board of Directors is pleased to inform you that the CAV has retained the recruitment firm of Amrop Knightsbridge to lead the search for an Executive Director for the CAV. Of course, while the Interim Board has sanctioned the initial search, the final decision on any appointment will be made by the permanent Board of Directors, once elected.
Attached please find the position description in both English and French as well as a note from Tim Hewat and Chris Sawyer who are leading the search at Amrop Knightsbridge.
We are pleased to be conducting the search to find the inaugural Executive Director for the Canadian Administrator of Video Relay Services (CAV).
This is an exciting and well-funded opportunity to design from the ground up a comprehensive regime (both platform and services) that does not currently exist elsewhere and that will become an archetype for other countries. The Executive Director of CAV will lead the strategy, development, implementation and management of VRS across Canada, and deliver a highly anticipated service that will improve the lives of Deaf and hard of hearing Canadians. Further information on historical context, role mandate, and the ideal candidate sought for this leadership role are provided in more detail in the attached executive briefs.
Please feel free to share with your network as you wish, and should you have a specific recommendation/nomination, you can submit to us in confidence. If you have any questions or require any additional information, please let us know - we welcome the opportunity to share further details and to understand your perspective.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
