2014 Pre-Conference Workshops
The
Conference is fast approaching and with it the Pre-Conference workshops. We
have two exciting workshops planned, “Deaf Interpreters: Hands-On
Interpretation and Co-Interpreting” with Nigel Howard (www.avlic.ca/sites/default/files/docs/2014-04_Pre-Conference_DI_Workshop-AVLIC2014.pdf)
and “Choices, Choices, Choices!!! Interpreting and Language Rights in the
Classroom” with Dr. Barbara O’Dea and Kevin Kolp (www.avlic.ca/sites/default/files/docs/2014-04_Pre-Conference_Educational-Setting_Workshop-AVLIC2014.pdf).
If
you have not already done so and are interested and considering registering for
either of these workshops, please register by June 14, 2014 in
order to ensure they will go on as planned. We do need a minimum number to host
the workshops and if we do not have that minimum number by the 14th,
we will cancel the workshops. Please be aware, that if we meet our minimum
requirement by the 14th, registration will remain open until July 7th.
However, to ensure that the workshops are not cancelled and that you don’t miss
out on these exciting opportunities, please get your registrations in right
away.
