WAD Children’s Christmas
Party
Saturday, December 7th is the WAD Annual
Children’s Christmas Party. People have already registered their
child(ren) and we want to thank the committee / volunteers for making this event
possible for the children in the Deaf community to enjoy and have fun!!
WAD Annual Christmas
Dinner and Draw
Saturday, December 14th is the WAD Annual
Christmas Dinner and Draw. The committee has been hard at work in
planning an enjoyable evening for everyone.
Tickets (for the dinner) originally had a cut
off date of December 2nd; however, we have a different caterer and we have extended the deadline to purchase the
Dinner & Draw tickets to Friday, December 6th. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet for the Dinner,
please be sure to get your tickets from any of the committee members, or
contact Elaine Anderson. Chairperson or simply email WAD at winnipegdeaf@gmail.com
Cost of ticket can be found in previous
announcement under WAD last November in the DCM website.
If you do not wish to attend the dinner, but
would like to attend the Christmas Draw. You can pay at the door (Members –
$5.00 and Non-members – $10.00). Light refreshments will be served.
WAD Christmas Draw tickets are 6 for $5.00. We
have a limited number of tickets printed, so don’t leave it till the last
minute and be disappointed if it’s all sold out!!
Upcoming events for
2014....
Plans are in the works for having some
recreational activities for January, February and March 2014 and we will
evaluate / get feedback at the WAD Annual General Meeting which will be held on
Thursday, March 6th beginning with a light supper at around 5:15 p.m. at
DCM The meeting will be held around 6:00 p.m.
More information about the various recreational
activities will be announced later on.
