The Bethania Group is currently recruiting for the position of Full Time Tenant Resource Coordinator at Deaf Centre Manitoba located at 285 Pembina Hwy. Deaf Centre Manitoba is a multi - functional facility serving Deaf, hard-of-hearing & hearing individuals. This position plays an important role in supporting all of our tenants. Responsibilities will include working with community organizations in order to provide support services for tenants, providing short term emergency counselling services, coordinating with tenants' families and/or support staff to provide updates & information, planning & facilitating recreational activities & informative workshops on various topics for seniors as well as ensuring all events & activities are planned to involve both Deaf, hard-of-hearing & hearing tenants. As the successful candidate you are a professional dedicated to providing excellent customer service. You have proven experience working with seniors & those with disabilities. Your communication skills both verbal & written are exceptional & they assist you in dealing with difficult situations with ease. You have experience communicating in American Sign Language (ASL), and you continue to improve your ASL communication skills. You are able to work well both independently &/or with others & you enjoy being a team player working together with a dedicated team of professionals. In addition, you are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge in cross cultural interactions will be considered a definite asset.
