I, the Manitoba co-ordinator for the last two
events, think that you should know what's there from the 2013 Western Canada
Deaf 55+ Games that was in Vancouver last week. Eight Manitobans, namely
Kenneth & Elaine Anderson, Sue Tebow, Linda Strowbridge, Reynolde &
Rita Ruiz, Carol Hall and Sylvia Sigurdson with some help from BC particpants,
who were most former Winnipegger, to make a team of Manitoba, were glad to let
them know that Manitoba got silver medals (only 15 points from being getting
gold medals). Way to go!!!!
I have won the bid for Winnipeg to host the
Third bi-annual Western Canada Deaf 55+ Games for the third week of August
2015. So come and support the biggest event in 2015.
I will post a date for the first inaugurated meeting sometimes in
October. Once I post the date, you're all welcome to come over to the
meeting and set up the commitee.
