At 1:50 CDT, meteorologists are tracking a very dangerous thunderstorm that is producing a funnel cloud.

Storm spotters have reported a funnel cloud near just south of the perimeter highway moving southeastward and it is moving to Ile des Chenes.

Communities in the path include: Ile des Dhenes.

This is a dangerous and life-threatening situation.

Take cover, if threatening weather approaches, in a sturdy permanent building or underground.

If you see a funnel cloud, swirling debris near the ground, flying debris, or any threatening weather approaching, take shelter immediately.

Vehicles, mobile homes, cottages, boats and any tents or trailers are unsafe. Seek shelter in a location like a bathroom, interior closet, stairwell, basement or the lowest level in the building. Stay away from windows or outside walls, as they offer little protection.

Environment Canada continues to monitor the situation closely. Please continue to monitor your local media or Weather radio for further updates. If you would like to report severe weather, you can call 1-800-239-0484 or send an email to storm@ec.gc.ca.
