Salary(s): LS1-3 $19.31 - $27.02 per hour; TF1-3 $30.37 - $41.07 per hour Salaries are various, dependent on classification.

An eligibility list may be created for similar positions and will remain in effect for 12 months.
A satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check are conditions of employment.
Fluency in American Sign Language and English required for all positions. Valid Manitoba driver's license required. Candidates are requested to indicate in their covering letter for which position they are applying.
Qualifications:
Teacher of the Deaf: Requires Bachelor of Education with preference given for specialized training as a certified Teacher of the Deaf.
Educational Assistant: Requires experience working with multi-disabled children who are Deaf or hard of hearing.
American Sign Language/English Interpreter: Graduate from an accredited post-secondary Interpreter Training Program; member in good standing with the Association of Visual Language Interpreters of Canada (AVLIC); interpreting experience in educational and community settings.
Educational Assistant: Requires experience working with multi-disabled children who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

Duties:
Teacher of the Deaf: Instructs students who are Deaf and hard of hearing at a variety of learning levels in a K-12 school setting according to curricula as established by Manitoba Education.
Educational Assistant: Works with individual students with behaviour, medical or other special needs, including the supervision of students in settings outside the classroom.
American Sign Language/English Interpreter: Facilitates communication between Deaf and hearing people in a variety of settings for administrators, staff, parents, students and the public.
