WCD Spring Rainbow Raffle
Winnipeg Church of the Deaf will have their Spring Rainbow Raffle Draw at the Camp Kakepitay
10 KM Walk/Run for Fun. The draw will be held at 1:30 p.m. We have purchased the prizes
already, if people wish to make a financial donation, please see Carol Deminanyk for
further information. A tax receipt will be issued for donations of $15 or more. Tickets will be
on sale during the months of May and June.
WCD 95th Anniversary Celebration
Friday, October 18th to Sunday, October 20th in Winnipeg with Pastor Noah Buchholz and
and his new wife Alyssa Buchholz.
Mark your calendar and plan to come out to this memorable celebration. More information
will be coming out in June. Everyone is Welcome to join the weekend of learning and
BBQ Burger Supper There will be NO Burger Supper this year.
Watch for the upcoming Chicken and Corn Supper that will be held on Saturday,
September 14th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Deaf Centre Manitoba with proceeds to the Deaf
May Long Weekend- DRY (no alcohol)
Friday, May 16th- Monday, May 19th at Camp Kakepitay-near Vermillion Bay, Ontario
where we will do general spring cleaning as well as some repair work. Deadline to pre-
register is Tuesday, May 7th. Everyone is welcome to come out and have a productive
and enjoyable long weekend!
Community Garage Sale Saturday, June 1st, from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Sell your own stuff... reserve your own table for $15.00. A tax receipt will be issued for your
donation. Contact Donna Johnson for information.
BBQ Lunch Saturday, June 1st from 11:30 a.m until 1:30 p.m held in the front area
at DCM. Proceeds from the BBQ lunch will got to the Deaf Camp. Contact Bruce Koskie for
Camp Kakepitay Family Walk for Fun
Camp Kakepitay is planning to have a Walk for Fun on Saturday, June 1st beginning at
10:00 a.m. Proceeds to renovation work at Camp Kakepitay. Pledge forms are available and
there will be prizes and you can join us for free BBQ. All are welcome to come out and
enjoy the walk. Contact Jaclyn Demianyk for information.
